Days Like This

Today was a little different from my usual Saturdays.

Junior stayed here last night for the first time since 2017. His ice hockey team had their end-of-season awards party in a local pool hall on Friday evening, so it was a useful solution for him to collapse here.

I assume he collapsed. I did not hear him come home but there was a strong smell of the Evil Drink outside his bedroom this morning.

Anyway, we had a late breakfast (his first and my second) of fresh croissants I picked up at Loch Leven's Larder after my Parkrun there.

When I went to bed last night I was optimistic about being recovered enough to go for Parkrun today and my judgement was sound. It was hard work but worth the effort to gain that wee buzz from the achievement.

I should have Blipped the Breakfast Party but was too busy enjoying it, so it is yet another Parkrun Blip - the view as you head from the car park to the start.

The blue sky is deceptive. A strong wind was blowing in off the loch to make the weather feel more April than June. But it was dry. It was not cold. And I have lived to be able to look forward to my next one.
