A Spa Day

Today, Mollie and I treated ourselves, with a ‘Celebrate Together’ spa day at Barnham Broom golf club, hotel and Spa. We were just celebrating being alive!! What else is there? As it is half term, Mollie was off and with it being my day off too we had booked it a few weeks ago. I have my work friend Bev to thank, as she recently did the same for her birthday, and I thought it sounded so good I suggested it to Mollie.

It was relaxing from the start, as we arrived at 10, ready for our quick tour of the facilities before starting with coffee and something to eat. Then headed in to the pool for some exercise. Swam about 25 of the small lengths, tried the sauna, but both felt like we were suffocating, and went out to relax with our books for a while in the lounge area.

I went back to the pool and swam 30 more lengths, then we went to the Spa for our massages. An hour of back, face and head massage which was very relaxing.

We then changed back out of robes and into our clothes for a very tasty afternoon tea. I think on a par with the best I’ve had anywhere else.

We eventually left around 4.30. It has been so lovely to have a whole day together - I think Mollie agrees!

Home now, and feel too relaxed to ‘do’ anything….but I might do a bit of writing. I was very pleased last Sunday to hit 40,000 words, so I see that as half way through my book. On time as we are not half way through the year - so if I can just manage another 40,000 words, I’ll be done! Mollie has an idea about marketing, so that I can make a million :-) so let’s get it written….how hard can it be???!!!!
