An ordinary life....

Safely delivered...

It's been a day of revolving doors here with numerous deliveries, including a garden storage box that's been lost in transit for a couple of weeks, the pool engineer here to fix the chlorine doser in the pool, N here to power wash the patio in the side garden, and R here to take Lola out.

I managed to get the Empire Biscuits jammed and iced before lunch so I could relax and forget about them!  Spent a little time in the studio trying to decide if I am taking paper and paints with me to Filey next week. I'm not sure there will be time to paint.  Decided to take the basics so if mood and opportunity does arise, I am prepared.

I will do the same with my crochet.  I just need to decide what yarn to take as it will be the start of a new project.  Can't decide whether to take the pink version of the blue yarn I've just finished making a shawl with as it's so lovely to use, or a load of cotton yarn.  I suspect I will settle on the pink yarn and have a go at another cardi.

One of the deliveries was three possible wedding outfits.  Tried them all on.   Nope.  Keeping one of the tops though as it's perfect for a summer afternoon.  Tried on the top I bought in January for the wedding and yes, you've guessed it, I much prefer it over everything else I've tried so final decision made...I am going with the original outfit!  LOL!

Early and quick dinner of pizza then David headed off with the biscuits to the last rehearsal of the singing group as they stop over the summer.  He texted me to say the biscuits were well received.  It's become a bit of a tradition now that I make them for the last rehearsal and subtle hints had been dropped by group members in recent weeks :-) I was happy to oblige.  Nice to have them so appreciated.

I was full of good intentions to organise a Tesco delivery to our holiday destination next week but ended up getting caught up looking at head gear for Andrew and Nikki's wedding.  Now I have finally settled on what I am wearing, I saw two or three fascinators / hats that would be suitable but difficult to be sure without trying them on.  Might go to Glasgow tomorrow to see what actual shops have to offer.

Can't believe we're almost at the end of May!
