tracks of life

munduk

ditched the wil and crazy life of kuta beach this morning, making tracks for munduk. stayed at puri lumbung cottages and absolutely recommend the spot for honeymooners. of course, i was flying solo, so it may have been a little too quiet for my taste - a fear i had when i made the booking, so i was only here for a night.

munduk is in the mountains of bali, so the weather was so comfortable, and even a bit chilly at night. spent most of the time wandering around the village, and then took a hike over to this little waterfall. what a peaceful spot. great exercise too, as everywhere i went was either an uphill or downhill battle - no flat land here.

dining alone was relatively quiet until a couple from tasmania struck up some conversation. they had been in the area for about 9 days already, and were jonesing for some news. they said they got bbc world service in the mornings on the radio, but that was it. for me, however, the one day to disconnect was just what the doctor ordered.
