water palace theater, in central ubud. turns out the opera,a house in bali, was playing here for the last of a two-night run tonight. unfortunately, tickets had been sold out for quite some time. bummer.

i definitely enjoy the pace of ubud. it's a bigger city, but with a great eco-vibe to it. furthermore, you don't get the numbers of hawkers, drunk students, and overall calamity that you find in kuta beach. there's loads of restaurants, shops, and the most bookstores i've seen anywhere on the island thus far.
