In Bloom

Back to work today. I learned that a close colleague will be leaving to start a new job.

I walked briefly this morning before sitting at my desk and then at lunchtime with Merlin. I noticed the rosemary plants are in flower. I’d not realised they come into bloom so early in the year.

This afternoon heavy rain has descended and it continues this evening. It does look miserable outside so I’m most content to be inside with a book to read. Andy is watching an ‘important’ football match. Merlin is cosy sleeping under his blanket.

- For a delicious meze of Mediterranean treats for dinner.
- For the headphones Andy is wearing which mean I don’t have to hear the football commentary.
- To a joyful blackbird singing loudly in the rain to bid the day farewell.
