Beach Gathering

We got up promptly this morning so as to catch the low tide at Hayling. It wasn’t a low, low tide, but there was enough sand for Merlin to run on. Despite the relatively early hour for a bank holiday, it was busy with dog walkers and horse riders. As you can see from the sky, rain wasn’t far away, and as we drove home it began to fall.

After lunch I pottered at home whilst the rain poured down. Then as it cleared the sun came out and we had a beautiful few hours of brightness at the end of the afternoon.

Grateful:
- To have time to play at compost making.
- To hear the nesting rooks high in pine trees near the allotment.
- To see a blue tit feeding on the bird feeder I put out last week, and to watch it then take moss from the base of our Christmas door wreath I’ve put out for the nesting birds.
