Was up early for me to take my car in for service. Walked back via the Avenue to buy some cards and popped into m and s as usual. They had two big packs of minced beef reduced- seemed a bit strange at 9 in the morning but I bought them and made yet another base for cottage pie when I got home. Tidied up and did some admin, and was just sitting down to have my lunch when AJ phoned suggesting a trip to the nice knitting shop in town before craft group. I put the soup in the fridge and she picked me up in the car. When we arrived we realised we only had 30 minutes so not long enough to walk from where she had parked , so just bought some lunch and went to the Playhouse. Finished the mock stained glass- will no doubt blip it at some point. Went for the usual coffee and chocolate afterwards and then caught the bus to collect my car, buying potatoes on the way home ready for mash for the cottage pies. These plants have been sitting on my garden table for about three weeks now - whenever I’m at home with time to plant them it pours with rain or is freezing!
