High Drama

For about an hour this afternoon a police helicopter circled Louth and appeared overhead.
The police were searching for a suspect who they believed had a knife after an apparent attempted robbery at the jewellers in Eastgate. Two men who arrived on a motorbike went into the jewellers and smashed cabinets before making off. One suspect ran off towards Kidgate through the area near a primary school towards Newmarket. One suspect has been arrested and the police were searching for the other man with the use of Humberside Police's helicopter. Louth police said a discarded motorbike helmet was found near the London Rd Sports Ground and the suspect was seen in a road near Kidgate. '' The suspect may be wearing tracksuit bottoms over jeans'' !
Local PCSOs have been visiting local schools to reassure children and staff. I'm sure this will have been very reassuring!!!!!
