Rainforest
This morning we visited Puck's Glen, a few minutes drive up from Sandbank. Its rocky stream, with multiple micro-waterfalls, had a good flow of water thanks to the overnight rain. The woodland surrounding it was classic temperate rainforest, reminding us of the Pacific Northwest - albeit on a rather smaller scale!
The forecast rain had not yet come in, so we drove for another few minutes to Benmore Botanical Gardens. This was much more extensive than we'd anticipated, and we spent a couple of hours exploring its many features (see extras). By the time we left it was raining, and we spent the afternoon indoors.
After I'd walked Django in the pouring rain, we went into Dunoon for dinner at Chatters, partly on the recommendation of blethers. The meal was good, and Django was the well-behaved dog that we'd said he would be.
