Jameswood

To celebrate A's birthday, we've come over with daughter K and Django to Dunoon for three nights at Jameswood Villa. Enchanted by the TV series - and it's two hours of feel-good viewing if you haven't seen it - we were keen too see the house, and had never been to Dunoon. There is some attractive countryside nearby, but the forecast for the weekend is awful!

After we'd arrived we tried to get food at the nearby community pub, but it was closed. When I asked a local, I was told that they open "when they feel like". So we had to drive for a few minutes to Dunoon, where the dog friendly pub served good food.

The apartment we're staying in is very well set out and tastefully decorated, and it's quite special to.be here, having seen the TV series. We got in via a lock box, and they don't do breakfast so, although they live upstairs, maybe we won't get to see either Cal or Claire.
