Bliadhna Mhath Ùr

Happy New Year fellow Blippers ! 

Woke up to to bright blue skies - the perfect backdrop for a new years swim in the Loch.  There must have been over 20 swimmers and a number had bought treats for afterwards (including tablet).  The water was cold but once in I enjoyed a short swim around the buoy with the sun shining on my face on the way back. We shared the loch with the usual ducks and a pair of swans. 

After lunch we headed down to Pitlochry's annual street party. We joined in a Gay Gordons and a mass Orcadian Strip the Willow - great fun and it kept us warm as the mist descended. We also enjoyed watching the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band before heading home.

I have ham cooking in the slow cooker and will be watching Rambert's Peaky Blinders on BBC 4 this evening. We went to see it in Edinburgh last year and really enjoyed it. 

Here's to 2024 !  It's got off to a good start.
