Heddiw ydy'r heuldro pan mae'r haul yn sefyll am eiliad ac yn dechrau ei daith hir i'r haf.

Gwnes i daith llawer byrrach na'r haul y bore 'ma dychwel llyfr Nor'dzin, oherwydd mae'n haws i wneud hon pan mae'r llyfrgell ar agor (pwy oedd yn gwybod?). Rydw i'n hoffi seiclo felly doedd e ddim yn dasg yn bendant. Gwnes i gymryd y cyfle i dynnu rhai ffotograffau o’r cerflun o flaen y llyfrgell, gan gynnwys yr amlygiad dwbl hwn yn erbyn y coed a’r awyr.

Gwnaethon ni nifer o bethau gwahanol yn ystod y dydd. Gorffennodd Nor'dzin wneud het i mi. Mae'n het wlân gonigol fympwyol gyda band ffwr. Mae'n edrych Mongoliaidd i fi. Gwnaeth Nor'dzin hefyd dangos i mi sut i wneud pwyth blanced i atgyweirio hen blanced byddin. Dysgais i bwyth blanced yn yr ysgol ond roedd e bron chwedeg o flynyddoedd yn ôl felly roeddwn i'n hapus i gael rhai o adolygiad.

Yn olaf rydw i'n gweithio ar 'achub' llyfr ar gyfer ein chwaer gwmni cyhoeddi yn yr UDA. Mae un llyfr gyda nhw mewn ffurf PDF yn unig. Mae'r PDF yn cynnwys o res o luniau o dudalennau y llyfr. Dim testun o gwbl. Mae rhaid i mi redeg proses ‘adnabod llythyren optegol’ i ail-greu'r testun. Rydw i wrth fy modd â her dechnegol!

Mae'n lwcus bod y diwrnodau yn mynd yn hirach. Mae'n ymddangos bod llawer i'w wneud.

Today is the solstice when the sun stands still for a moment and begins its long journey into summer.

I made a much shorter trip than the sun this morning to return Nor'dzin's book, because it's easier to do this when the library is open (who knew?). I like cycling so it was definitely not a chore. I took the opportunity to take some photographs of the statue in front of the library, including this double exposure against the trees and the sky.

We did a number of different things during the day. Nor'dzin finished making me a hat. It is a whimsical conical woolen hat with a fur band. It looks mongolian to me. Nor'dzin also showed me how to make a blanket stitch to repair an old army blanket. I learned blanket stitch at school but it was almost sixty years ago so I was happy to have some review.

Finally I am working on 'rescuing' a book for our sister publishing company in the USA. They have one book in PDF format only. The PDF contains a series of pictures of the pages of the book. No text at all. I have to run an 'optical character recognition' process to recreate the text. I love a technical challenge!

It's lucky the days are getting longer. There seems to be a lot to do.
