St Erth River

We've spent the whole day together. Yay! I haven't had to spend any time 'home alone' at all today. The only time I was alone was when I got left in the car for 5 mins while Ann ran into the garden centre to buy an Amaryllis. The garden centre was mobbed. At least the car park was. We got the very last space, though having said that, there didn't seem to be many people inside. Perhaps they were all in the cafe?

Anyway, after the garden centre, we went to St Erth river for my afternoon walk. We've never seen so much water in the river before and also it was quite fast flowing so I didn't bother going for a swim. Often I see bunnies playing on the opposite side of the river to where we walk and I have to swim across so that I can go chasing. Today I didn't see any bunnies so I just stayed close to Ann. A lot of the path was very muddy though.

….............And the rest of the day has been taken up with................. doing not very much.............

Ann has been writing her book, 'My life in lock down'. The plan was, that the book was going to be finished by the end of 2023. If anyone is interested; that's not going to happen, but it is a work in progress and it will happen eventually. She's also repainted a couple of bits of wall that holiday makers have scuffed, and she's caught up with Eastenders & Coronation Street. So it's not been a completely wasted day and anyway, she feels like she's never stopped since we came back to Cornwall last Friday, so it's been really nice to have a relaxing day.

We're not doing anything this evening either.

Sometimes it's good to be lazy!!!
