Shortest day of the year
OK, so we know it's the shortest day of the year but honestly it's been so dull & dreary, that we've had to have the lights on indoors all day. Actually, that's a bit of a lie................. Ann was at work 9.30am-3pm and she didn't leave me any lights on but if she'd been in the house she would have needed to have the lights on.
When she came home I went for my walk down the Hayle Estuary. It's said, 'that the camera never lies?' It was most certainly lying in this BLIP. Does it look like it was raining to you? It does not! But it was and Ann (and obv me) got soaking wet.
I got popped back into the car and Ann popped into Asda to pick up a few last min bits for Christmas. Honestly, there's only me and her, and OK, she's working most days until at least the 1st January 2025, but how much food and wine does one person (and a gorgeous little Collie) need? It's almost like being back in lock down, when she felt she had to keep her freezer fully stocked in case she got ill and couldn't get out.
Not much else to report..................... Ann bought me carrots today. She's not working tomorrow, so has a couple of friends coming round for festive drinks & nibbles. Mmmmmmmmm................. I think, she thinks, that if she gives me a carrot to munch on, I won't pester her friends for proper festive nibbles????????????
