Another busy day

Had to get up at 7am and go for my walk in the pitch dark, because Ann was working at 9am in the 'Pool Club'. That's three days in a row she's been working. It's a bit of a shock to the system for her because she is such a lazy human. However, the 'Pool Club' are a bit short staffed at the moment, she likes it there and obviously the money will come in very handy. She's already bought me a whole bag of carrots from Asda. I like carrots and they were only 15p for a big bag. Bargain!!!

When she got home from work just after 2pm, we went to Asda obv I had to wait in the car because she doesn't want to be going into supermarkets at the weekend when the whole world will be 'panic buying' for the one day when the shops are shut?!!!

We're spending Christmas Day 'home alone' and to be honest, it really doesn't bother us. It's just another day isn't it? But Ann feels that we should be eating something special so she bought a turkey today. She might make us a Christmas dinner. She might not. She's already bought steak and put it in the freezer because she'd thought that might be a nice alternative. On the other hand she's bought a load of 'party food' so we might just snack all day?! Who knows what we'll do. It will depend on the weather, but I'm hoping I'll get a long Christmas Day walk.

Anyway, this afternoon, after Asda, I went for a walk down the Hayle Estuary. I kept running into the prickly bushes to look for bunnies but I couldn't find any. Booohoooo. Looking for bunnies that weren't there made me tired so I kept having to have little flop downs.

On the way home we had to pop into Tesco because one of the things Ann wanted to buy was an Amaryllis and Asda didn't have any. Tesco didn't have any either so she bought 6 bottles of wine instead! Amaryllis's seem to be in short supply this year. We know M&S have them but we're certainly not going there because it will be absolutely mobbed and Ann doesn't do queuing to get into car parks. Lol.

Sooooo................ that's been our day. I've had my dinner (and a carrot) so I'm back in snooze mode. Apparently I'm going to get left 'home alone' again because Ann's off socialising AGAIN?!! We can hear the wind howling outside so I'm glad I'm warm and cosy indoors. Ann's not really looking forward to the walk into town, but needs must!!!
