Last Shift Of The Day

The Poppy Appeal 2023 is now in full swing, it seems small beer to years gone by, no street collecting, no standing in stores just a static display/collecting point in Sainsbury’s. The boxes are in most of the usual locations through the town but there’s no interaction with people.
As I usually do I was on the 5:00pm-7:00pm shift, it’s the shift that is generally the most difficult to fill but I quite like it. Pretty chilly when the auto doors are open for a while with the wind blowing straight in.
Enjoyed it though.
