Blustery to start with and gradually increasing throughout the day, the wind from the east brought a drop in temperature and stripped away the autumn leaves from the trees.
The number of ships seeking shelter in the bay is normally a good indication of the weather to come, there are currently four with a couple more expected. Also in the Blip a Merlin helicopter from RNAS Culdrose, (HMS Seahawk).
Elsewhere for me a day off from manning one of the Poppy Appeal stands, not so Mrs S who has Wednesday off this week - too many hours.
In the evening we discussed our plans for next October;
A four day break in Nantes, France taking in two Rugby World Cup pool matches.
A four day break in the River Dart Country Park at Oktoberfest.
Both take place over the same four days, I’ve watched a lot of live rugby over the last year or two so my turn to support Mrs S and Oktoberfest it is.
