See You Soon, Old Girl

I was up early to get breakfast ready so our guests could get on the road. They were meeting my sister and BIL near Wheeling, WV. We were late leaving; washed the guests’ linens, picked kale, fed the birds, packed up our food, and showered. I started missing Millie before we even left. She will be in good hands with Chase. She loves her new kibble and seems to be putting on a bit of weight. Maybe she will perk up again. For now, she simply enjoys snuggling on our bed or couch with her humans. So far the drive has been uneventful. We made a quick pit stop, grabbed an apple pie as usual and visited with Skylar at college - with the requisite care package. She wasn’t hungry so we will have dinner later. We decided to take the scenic route for awhile spending more time in Pennsylvania. Kim, Mancil, and Skylar joined hubby and me a few years ago on a mission trip in this area. We enjoyed it as much as those folks we helped. The trees are starting to turn beautiful colors in this higher elevation. We should get to my sister’s around 8:00. We will have traveled for 11:00 hours including our stops. We are so blessed just to hop in the car and go wherever the road leads us. Wishing you similar leisures. Stay safe wherever you are. Thanks so much for visiting. "Cats are connoisseurs of comfort."
