Lady Bugs

We slept in this morning. I think jet lag and our vaccines finally caught up with hubby. He spent time in his study trying to catch up on financial paperwork/on line statements. I cleaned the kitchen and found a small, round plastic cylinder in the bottom of our dishwasher. We searched high and low and could not find any part of the dishwasher missing it. Our next task was to undo whatever I did to the vacuum. The lid will not close. Hubby pulled out the owners’ manual for both appliances to help us fix them. We think the cylinder must be off something else. Using two screwdrivers, we cleared the area that was preventing the lid from closing. Not sure we “fixed” it but the vacuum works. I took a walk around the property. I really need to pick tomatoes. This blue salvia plant is in a pot as you go into the raised garden. I saw three tiny lady bugs on this particular spike and couldn’t resist them. One hid before I took the photo. We decided to work on the monster Heather plant that is overtaking our front sidewalk. Hubby went to Lowe’s to buy new fencing to hold it in place; I picked up debris in the formal garden area so we can mow. We put up the fencing and some reinforcement poles. We’ll see what happens next. My sister suggests that I prune it back; something that always makes me anxious. We had a few wings and salad for lunch. Then it was time for hubby to go to the funeral home and for me to go to Jamie’s to care for his mutts and Parker. I will be there off and on until next Saturday evening. Have a blessed weekend folks. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by.
