The Nymph’s Grotto
Last night’s meal was superb and the wine and liqueurs were flowing freely, so much so that I felt rather delicate today. Nevertheless we packed our bags and continued on our journey around Sicily.
Our next stop was Syracuse and we started off with the Neapolis Archaeological Park, a fascinating place but terribly signposted (very annoyingly we had to go out and in again a couple of times) and then we visited Ortigia (Syracuse’s lovely old town) and ended up making friends with a very nice couple from Bergamo over lunch. We’re now in our next guest house near Noto (seems to be very popular with French tourists) and finally we have a swimming pool!
