Legs

No excuse for skipping leg day now, with the arrival of this new leg extension/curl machine at the gym. A bit more complicated to set up than it’s predecessor, but infinitely better in operation. My programme includes leg extensions, and it only took a short time to find settings that were comfortable.
That’s one of the great things about the gym I go to - it’s not a faceless, operating only for profit, corporation. The chap who runs it is genuinely interested in the health and well-being of his members and is happy to invest in new equipment accordingly. We, in turn, repay him by treating the equipment with respect and by keeping things clean. I’ve been in enough gyms where the equipment is badly maintained, scruffy and dirty to know how lucky we are to have this facility.
And I’d been to the gym because there was a message on the WhatsApp group suggesting that if the grey, rainy weather was getting us down, then we should consider a workout as it releases the same sort of endorphins you’d get from a sunny day. And he wasn’t wrong…
Off out tonight for the first of three concerts on the bounce. This evening is probably the one fewest will have heard of - The Winery Dogs. They’re playing Academy 2 in Manchester and I’m looking forward to it - the drive there and back, less so. I think we’ll leave Kendal early, just to have a bit of wiggle room if the traffic on the motorway, or in central Manchester, is bad.
