Piesport at first light. Day 8

This really is a lovely spot. After posting a blip of this view yesterday afternoon we spent a quiet night here. I popped out in the middle of the night to get a picture of the (virtually) full moon above the town lights.
And then this morning I was awake before the sun came up and looked out on this beautiful scene.
Through the day we drove out of Germany, into Luxembourg, filled up with diesel (cheaper there) and then down into France. We travelled through several different sorts of scenery before ending up just outside Dijon, next to a small river, with limestone cliffs. We’re staying in a small village, Velars sur Ouche. They offer free parking for about 8 vans. In return we did our shopping in the local supermarket and will be visiting the local patisserie tomorrow morning.
We are loving being in France, it brings back happy memories, and I feel even more relaxed than usual here.
Tomorrow we head for Bordeaux, but it may be a bit of a stretch getting there in one day.
