Beautiful Autumn

Autumn is not always a beautiful season. There are plenty of times when rain, cold and damp detract from the joys. However, when it is good, it is really good, as it was today.
On the way back from our overnight stay in Sunnet we stopped off at Västanå to look at the nature reserve and waterfall. (Jan posted a lovely blip of the waterfall.)
Here is one of the cabins at Västanå, plus that gorgeous rowan tree.
I had two pictures I really liked so the second one gets in as an extra. It shows a traditional fence built around a steep meadow. It uses only natural materials found in the forest. The construction is tied together with thin boughs split in two and soaked in water. We had a neighbour who could build this sort of fence and he was in some demand. Unfortunately he is no longer with us. I was first attracted to take the photo by those shadows!
