Looking at garden from kitchen and conservatory.
The Feast Day of Saint James Cupertino. It is said he could levitate. More on YouTube.
Today has been interesting if only from watching the weather.
There has been and still is a powerful wind that has swirled through the garden causing the Calendula flowers to bow down. Paul has lifted their heavy window box and placed them in the green house. They are more protected there now. I have moved the precious sunflower to the left of the greenhouse, hoping it will not fall over nor break. I put a big bucket of water and a cotoneaster plant in front of it to protect it from the effects of the strong wind. I added 2 more long canes and green bendy wire ties to support the tall stem of the sunflower. No actual sunflower as yet!
We have had sunny interludes but not long enough to put the washing line up.
The rain continues to leak and drip into the utility room and the water is collecting on newspaper and a plastic bacon box. It seems the best we can do until help comes from the busy roofer.
I walked into Rishton, went to post Daniel's birthday card and then visited a very kind friend.
You can feel so much better if you can share your burden and life perspective with another person. It brings lightness and healing.
I am a slow reader but I am blessed to be reading Diana Cooper's new book The Golden Future. From my current perspective and well anchored faith in Christ's teachings, the book is delightful.
Take care blip friends and thank you for your kindness and friendship.
