Beauty is all around us.

Saving sunflower from the risk of rot in the rain.

The Feast Day of Saint Janarius. Also, The Marian Feast Day of Our Lady of La Salette. 1846. This was to say and warn the world to keep the Commandments and value holiness.
If you are interested in following these references to these saints, Google is a wonderful blessing.
Today Maria our daughter is 29 years old. She is travelling with friends so I don't expect to hear from her today. She was born in Blackburn all those years ago. As was my son and his sons.
Not being born of Blackburn myself, I have been living in Rishton Blackburn as what I describe as a visitor. It is a little hard to put into words.
It is a birthday date Maria shares with my maternal late Great Grandmother Lillian and my dear late Aunt Doris, and a male cousin who is still alive. So plenty of dear ones to pray for and to remember with gratitude for our family.
It has rained all day here. I have tried to be accepting of it and the gusty wind. I would be lying if I said it is easy to be stuck at home when my enjoyment of walking is still one of my favourite things. I went out and bought our Daily Mail and an Accrington Observer. Both them and me got drenched. It is like a penance. I had lunch, mattempted to dry the clothes and listened to some YouTube music.
Paul is mending his guitar.
It is something complicated only he understands.
I decided to put my raincoat on and quickly bring into the conservatory my treasured one and only sunflower. It has stood bravely in torrential rain. It fell down a few days ago and I was alarmed to see it not upright. So now I live in the uncertain hope it can flower after all it has suffered from heat, wind and rain.
Have a wonderful Tuesday and take care blip friends.
