Silver Birch
I sketched this a while ago and whilst looking through my sketchbook came across it again.
I traced it and have transferred it onto the Lino. That’s the easy part - getting my head round which bits to carve drives me loopy!
The original sketch of the birch trees is from a photo I took from Sabrina’s car on our way back from Stirling ice rink.
I also watched a couple more tutorials on YouTube. There are two women I particularly like to watch because they show how it’s done slowly rather than speeding the video up. One is Kerry Day and the other is Laura Boswell in case anyone is interested.
Laura is actually a printer in Kirkcudbright not far from where we lived in SW Scotland and she runs courses and also sells print related stuff. I’ve ordered a registration frame from her.
I’ve felt fine today after the raised temp last night, just a bit tired.
Today I got a PM from who I thought was Bob’s son who is working abroad just now. After a friendly exchange I soon realised that Paul had been hacked as the messages got a bit vulgar. I got in touch with Bob’s daughter and asked her to let her brother know. Paul would be mortified as he is such a nice man.
I also tried to change my password on FB but to no avail. Why is it so difficult? It just kept saying - Error - try later. I don’t use FB much - just to share petitions I care about.
Ian has finished the concrete on the floor of the extension but it is still wet so Bella has been miserable as she still can’t go out there. Now that’s done Ian said the rest won’t take long :-D
Book and bedtime for me - Goodnight :-)X
