Bakewell Tart
I felt quite good this morning though a bit tired. On the spur of the moment I felt like baking - something I haven’t done for ages.
I made a fruit cake and a Bakewell Tart.
The fruit cake is a little crumbly as I don’t use eggs but tastes excellent. I did use aquafaba from a tin of chickpeas but I think I should have beaten it like egg white but I forgot.
The Bakewell is yummy though a bit dark. I was going to put icing and glacé cherries on top but thought of the extra sugar.
We had a piece of each.
After lunch I was really tired and had a nap.
Late afternoon I started to feel cold and shivery so I put my winter Jim Jams on and big fluffy dressing gown and Frank got me a woolly blanket.
I just did my temperature and it is 38.5 again. This happens every few days.
Time to make an appointment.
I’m off to bed now.
