Cuan
We headed over to Cuan after breakfast to catch the ferry to Luing. At three minutes it's one of the shortest car ferry journeys I've taken and having squeezed on as the fifth car on the return journey one of the smallest.
Our first stop was Toberonochy and Arizona Villa where my great grandmother was a domestic servant for the quarry manager and his family in 1881 aged just 14.
We then made our way to Cuilipool (stopping at Blackhills and a ruined church en-route - I spotted a hare in the later). We had a very tasty lunch in the Atlantic Isands Centre.
We then headed back to Seil and then the mainland to visit Armaddy Castle - my great great grandmother had been born on the estate; her father was employed as a farm servant.
We then returned to Garradh Mhòr (our B&B) where T painted and I needlefelted.
Supper was taken n the Oyster Bar & Reataurant and again it was tasty and we followed this with a walk through the hills behind the village.
It's been a thoroughly enjoyable day.
