Skimming

Another day, another island & another ferry (with an even shorter crossing time than yesterday's).

Our destination was Easdale and first on our list was a swim in one of the many quarry pools which dot the island. We were aiming for the swimming pool where our fellow passengers were also heading. They knew the way so followed them.

The swim was lovely - quite surreal being surrounded by slate stacks and glimpses of hills in Mull. 

The swim was followed by an impromptu but light-hearted skimming completion- Easdale is home to world skimming championships after all.

Afterwards we wandered around the island then had a very tasty lunch in Puffer Bar & Restaurant. 

A visit to two heritage centers followed- one on Easdale island and one on Ellenabeich or Easdale village as it was often called. 

Back to our B&B for a rest (T sketched & I needlefelted) and then back to Oyster Bar fir another hearty and tasty dinner.
