Snamh

It was windy and overcast when I woke up this morning and I briefly considered *not* going for a swim but I soon saw sense and as ever I did not regret it.

It had been a couple of weeks since I was last out with the Dell Dippers and it was nice to catch up with folks over coffee afterwards.

This afternoon I did some more work on the project I am doing with VC - exploring the lives of railway workers in Blair Atholl in 1881. Today I was focusing on Gaelic and to what extent our sample mirrored the population at large. In exploring this I came across an academic paper on Gaelic in Perthshire and initially bemoaned the fact that I no longer have access to such resources since I retired. I then realised though that I am now registered student with UHI and could access it through my student account.
