Geranium psilostemnon

Psilostemnon is one of the tallest hardy geraniums, with large, vivid, bright magenta flowers each having a black eye. These flowers often appear luminous in early evening light. The large palmate leaves colour well in autumn. An architectural plant for the middle or back of a mixed border or a site in dappled shade. It’s just beginning to fade but I will cut it back to the ground shortly. A really useful plant - like all the geraniums.
Masses of weeding and deadheading today..Spent an hour or so tying back a donated grape vine which lives on a south facing wall. Not sure what I’m supposed to be doing but it looks a lot tidier now. A few very small grapes appeared last year so I’m interested to see what happens this year with so much sun. I dug out and potted up a white astrantia at the request of a gardening chum.
