Borders

It takes forever to get planting in borders just right. This is the first year I have not used annuals to fill in gaps and they’re beginning to fill up in a satisfactory way. I had just added a sanguisorba to this partly shaded area and noticed astrantia,’Ruby Wedding’, aconitum, verbena officianalis, white verbascum, geranium ‘Bob’s Blunder’, Heuchera, geum and others. A great variety of interesting plants surrounding the Prunus cerasifera. The photo also shows a tree paeonia and white Sidalcea in the background.
After a visit to a gardening chum in Port Logan we met for lunch at the Bistro and enjoyed a walk round the fabulous Logan Botanic Gardens and a chat with one of the gardeners. Wall almost finished - lovely day.
