In Plain Sight

Usually chipmonks scurry away so fast it's a case of blink and you miss them. However today these two remained motionless for maybe 30 seconds whilst I pfaffed about with my camera. I expect they were surprised I caught them out in the open and thought I might not notice them if they stood still.

They look quite young and are probably the same ones I saw shoot down a hole not too far from here. They can be a nuisance especially digging under the house which gets me worried. But, I have wanted to add a specimen to my "wildlife collection". I feel like a tame version of a hunter bringing home stuffed animals for the wall. Is this really photography?
