Circling Around

I walked down to the end of the inlet where quite a few tree swallows were feeding on insects. Flying along a stretch they swooped down to the water before circling around the end to repeat in the opposite direction.

I tried a few techniques, mainly focusing on a fixed spot and waiting for them to come into view. I had most success when they flew towards me; flying across the frame they were too fast. A lot got deleted.

I liked this frame because of the shadow on the algae and the sun shining through its wings and tail. I hoped to get one banking around so their wings would be more translucent, but sadly that was too difficult.
