Best Yet

He landed on a log on the other side of the inlet, perhaps 30 feet away. He didn't seem concerned at my being there, too intent on finding something to eat. He crept along the log studying the water, or more exactly the algae on the surface.

I waited and watched, taking photographs as he went about his business. I knew he would fly off eventually when it became evident there was nothing here for him. I upped my shutter speed in anticipation, but obviously not enough as the shot came out blurry. It's hard to know which way they will go when they fly.

Glad I finally got a shot to show off his wonderful plumage.

Extra: Keeping Out Of The Sun. The ducklings are growing up fast.
