Heading to My Happy Place
We woke up at 6:00 and started the day. I washed the last load of laundry, ate a piece of toast, showered and packed the coolers. Hubby put the last minute items in the truck or camper, ate breakfast, showered and we were out the door. Knowing kitties like enclosed spaces, we got out Millie’s small flexible carrier, put in her blankie and she was quite content. She stayed in the carrier on my lap for the entire 3.5 hour trip. I took photos of the scenery. Like our side of the Chesapeake Bay, the Eastern Shore is barely above sea level. Traffic on the bridge and out in the country side was very sparse. Things will change once vacationers start heading to Ocean City. Kristen and her family will be camping there this weekend. The main income over here is from raising chickens or growing crops like winter wheat or corn. Tourism, closer to the beaches, is another draw to this area. We are staying on an Air Force base in Dover, DE. The cell right above Millie’s “lounge” shows our view for the next 10 days. Any place where our camper is hooked up, is my happy place. We have a wonderful breeze at the moment. As you can see, Millie is settled in. She has explored every inch of the camper and hides under the bunks. Hubby has gone to the grocery store to pick up incidentals including a baked chicken for dinner. I will make the veggies while he is gone. Enjoy the upcoming weekend folks. Sorry I didn’t get to all the journals. I was completely worn out last night. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “Let your intentions be good - embodied in good thoughts, cheerful words, and unselfish deeds - and the world will be to you a bright and happy place in which to work and play and serve.” - Grenville Kleiser
