Ice Plant
It has been a busy day as anticipated. The weather has been perfect for all our jobs. We have rain in the forecast for 7 of the 10 day camping trip. That just means more excuse to read. Hubby cut and trimmed the lawn this morning. We forgot to mulch my mother’s garden that my sister planted so he bought a few bags on his way to get the camper. He’ll spread it first. On the way home, hubby will pick up the charcuterie board I won at the school auction. We will take it on our trip. I did laundry, repacked, watered all the plants, fed the birds and did general cleaning. There were a few garden jobs that had to be taken care of and the berries needed picking. That produced a nice harvest for my grandchildren and I am so thankful that I planted them years ago. My sister gave me some ice plant sprigs from her garden. She said it was easy to grow and she is correct. It now covers one corner of my garden and produces vibrant blooms. I’ve really enjoyed that addition to my garden. We will have lots of lettuce from the garden on the trip; so blessed. I’ve packed all the non-perishables and boxed the frozen food so it will be easy to grab. Will move the refrigerated stuff to one refrigerator so I can easily locate it in the morning. My sister and BIL stopped by to bring me a birthday gift; we will be in DE and they will be in WV on Saturday. Guess we will celebrate with my son’s family again. They will be at a team party that evening though. Once we get everything loaded in the camper, we’ll be ready for a morning departure. Thanks for the stars and sweet comments for all the recent family blips. After God, family always comes first. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the week. “Anything I plant, to actually watch it
grow gives me great pleasure.” -
