Oban

What a great day!

In search of the WARM sun without a cold wind we headed to Oban. Stopped off in an excellent Cafe in an old church just before Tyndrum. Not a fan of the Green Wellie, this Cafe had excellent Glen Lyon coffee and the lady in the kitchen does all the baking. I had the best scone I’ve had in years!

On we drove till we arrived in Oban . Parked up. It was WARM. In fact it got to 25 degrees. West was def best this week. We walked up to McCaig’s Folly overlooking the town and the bay. Fabulous views. There was a cruise ship in the bay and lots of Americans walking around Oban .

We built up an appetite and when in a place like this you have to eat the fish . Went to the Oban fish restaurant and sat in. The haddock and chips were superb . I dont like a greasy chip or batter. I had breaded haddock and S had the cod in batter. I saw a pic of Rick Stein and the owner on the wall. If he likes it then…..

We had another walk up to the ferry terminal and sat a wee while in the sun. In fact it got a bit hot so we decided on getting a tub of ice cream . This place we decided to go to also makes chocolates and has a cafe and was down by our car park. Oh the smells of chocolate…..

Tub eaten then time for the drive home. The temp change slowly dipped down the closer we got to home. It was sunny but only 17! Glad we got away for the day it was fabulous!

Good to read that the big buffoon Bojo is off. Of course it’s not his fault, nothing ever was. But Not before he awarded his ‘honours’. If ever a bunch of cheats, liars and scoundrels that were given ‘honours’ were misnamed then these cretins are it. I dont want to even name them, they are vile.

Bye bye you incompetent bampot!!
