Four
Four is the nickname of this Shetland pony, whose Sunday name is Corporal Cruachan IV. He is the mascot of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, who marched through Dumfries today. I didn't see the parade as I was working, but I saw the preparations for it as I walked through the leisure centre car park in my lunch break.
The original Cruachan (given to the regiment in 1929) was named after the hill, Ben Cruachan, and also after the battle cry of Clan Campbell. Four is 14 years old and has been mascot for the past decade. Here's a wee video of him since my photo doesn't do him justice. The man with the blue dustpan and brush must be there to tidy up after him!
The extra shows a typical Scottish Heatwave scene in Dock Park.
