Sunny buttercups

We were looking forward to our normal Saturday breakfast with the Guardian. No wonder Mr C calls it the Daily Depression - there’s so many awful things going on that we are helpless to do anything about.
1 - Growing numbers of private GPs are opening up
2 - Fossil fuel firms owe $209 billion in climate reparations
3 - Ann Widdecombe says if people can’t afford cheese in a sandwich they should eat something else
4 - Sunak says he’s delivering the benefits of Brexit
5 - Car makers are about to move elsewhere unless there’s a re-negotiated trade deal with EU
6 - AI- powered propaganda could influence elections
7 - Deaths in A&E hit 23,000 in England in 2022
8 - Afghan who worked for UK is sleeping rough in London

And that’s before we get to the global news. Please don’t tell me just not to read it - thereby goes the route to fascism. It is import to keep informed.

Mr C worked in the garden, setting up his tatties and planting seeds. #3 daughter was doing the same while Ella and Nathaniel were are football in the morning and drama rehearsal this afternoon for “Wicked”.

It has been a beautiful hot sunny day - more so than Mallorca - so I got all my knitwear hand washed and dried outside before I had a walk through the woods as far as the moor and back.

Now to squeeze into a dress for Carol’s party - she gets her pension on this birthday - while Mr C will be looking debonair in his 55 year old DJ handmade when we lived in Hong Kong. (It was either that, his kilt or his walking gear).
