Buttermere forecast: light rain, gentle winds

Actual Buttermere weather: heavy rain driven by gusty gale force winds causing the lake to be the most belligerent I’ve ever seen it.

We’ve really copped the rain (and snow) this week. Can’t complain, it’s what is can be like here and we have the right gear and a beautiful place to come back which is all set up to dry the kit.

Today was the same. Woke to rain, went out in the rain, walked around Buttermere and came back in the rain. Stopped at Lingholm for a coffee and Buttermere for lunch before braving those gentle winds and light rain.

Going out with Adam and Jane this evening ti the Fell Pack in Keswick. Really good food the last time we were there.
