Today’s MVP
We slept better last night. Hubby was out the door around 6:00 am to help the Knights with their monthly breakfast. At the end of the event, there were only a few scrambled eggs left. He said they had a wonderful turnout. My task for the day was coordinating quantity and picking up chicken dinners from the Knights at my mother’s parish. I met hubby heading home as I was leaving so he traveled with me. I took my mother yogurt and miscellaneous groceries as she settles in back at her home. Thankfully, Brooklyn’s game started late or we would have missed it. As the title states, she (#22) was named the Player of the Game. We won 53-7 and she made quite a difference. Since she is all arms and legs, she can really guard the opposite team’s players, preventing them from making a shot. She stole the ball or rebounded missed shots constantly throughout the game. She only scored six points but assisted with several. It was a joy to watch her. I shared one of our dinners with Kim. Mancil will be heading to Vermont with his school’s ski club this week. We came home, ate our lunch/dinner and will probably nap with our kitties who are sharing my lap. Kristen got to Orlando safely. She will be attending Disney Business school next week. As it turns out, Skylar’s theater class will be there on Thursday for a few days as well. Jamie is feeling ok; he started taking his meds this afternoon. Hopefully this time next week, all my travelers will be safely home and the family will be healthy again. Surely hope your weekend was enjoyable. Stay safe and healthy. “It’s not all about shooting. That’s such a small part of my game, but that’s what people focus on the most. I just try to do the little things.” - Diana Taurasi
