Preparation
We had a very productive day. The weather was sunny and mild. Hubby had his annual eye exam and ordered new glasses. While he was gone, I started washing windows and our French doors. We stopped for lunch and then took a walk to our neighborhood little library to donate a few books. This heavenly bamboo is in full berry in my neighbor’s garden. After his eyes were back to normal, hubby helped with the rec room windows. We have the type that open in but a book case and our Christmas tree made it easier just to wash them from the outside. Hubby also washed the screens that were nasty. My sister and BIL stopped by to pick up a few things we had for them. They mentioned tomorrow’s predicted storm that we weren’t aware of. We are expecting to get over two inches of rain and wind gusts up to 50 mph. Winds like that could ruin our Nativity stable and statues. Plus it could be hard on our wreathes in the windows. We spent the rest of the day preparing for the storm. I also put away the rest of our Christmas gifts and gathered decorations to the dining room so they can go back into boxes for the attic. That will be tomorrow’s job while it rains. Glad we have no outside errands planned. I think we are ready for the storm and are very thankful our BIL warned us. They are prepared for high tides as well. Guess we’ll have taco bowls for dinner and then it will be time for resting in the recliners. Hope your day was as rewarding. Thanks for the visit. Stay safe. “If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to endure the storm.” - WARREN WENDEL WIERSBE
