Met N at Portello Lounge ( same place as yesterday!) for breakfast. She was meeting other friends in the same place for lunch so I just stayed until they arrived. They asked me to join them but decided I didn’t want to eat anything else so would go home and do some gardening. Spent a couple of hours pottering around in the weak sunshine, and was delighted to see the first of the bulbs I’d planted producing green shoots. My main aim was to plant the roses J had bought me for Christmas but then I realised the roots needed soaking overnight so they will have to wait until the weekend. Decided I should also buy some root powder which was recommended so drove up to the local garden centre just before they closed and picked up some for half price in the sale. I love a bargain!
