Breakfast With Friends

Falmouth & Penryn Veterans Breakfast Club held their last meeting of 2022 this morning at the Windjammer Cafe in Falmouth. I’d pre ordered my brunch and was surprised that given my ‘delicate’ state this morning I managed to both finish it and enjoy it.
Mrs S and I then had a slow walk through town, breathing in artificial snow that smelled like popcorn and weirdly tasted nice and slowly getting wetter and wetter.

I had Paddy in the afternoon and as much as I wanted to I couldn’t summon the energy to make kick off at the rugby club or any of the 150 celebrations. I did manage the second half with Paddy only to see the previous weeks endeavours repeated. It’s not for the want of trying or the desire to win it’s a growing realisation that our 1sts are in a league too high.

Quiet night in with a roaring fire and the TV.
