Slipping & Sliding

Arriving in the boatyard to row it became apparent quite quickly that we wouldn’t be rowing today. Getting out of the car I almost lost my footing straight away, the entire car park was a sheet of ice and with patches all through the yard and down onto the slipway. The decision was made quite quickly and half a dozen of us set off to McD’s for a coffee before heading off in different directions.

Once dinner was prepared Paddy and I set off for our afternoon walk, it was so cold in the wind that I thought of cutting the walk short but we persevered and out of the wind quite enjoyed it.
Todays photo is of a Misty, cold and miserable Falmouth Bay, three ships sheltering from the weather are clearly visible but there is a fourth off to the right.
Roast dinner, updating the 2023 calendar and a new book passed the the evening.

We have a promise of colder weather with accompanying ice warnings for the coming days.
