Ella and Nathaniel at Beamish Museum

Ella and Nathaniel were at Beamish open air museum today. They were there at opening time as when they went in the summer Ella was too late to get her hair done for £5 in a 1950s style. I don’t remember hair like this in the 50s but she’s delighted with it. Nathaniel’s is long enough to be done too! He hasn’t had it cut this year.

We should have gone too but it was so cold and wet we decided to use the time getting caught up with jobs. Mr C got the pipes in the ceiling lagged ready for when the people come to put up the ceilings. I cooked then made and wrote Christmas cards as well as what my late sister-in-law called the “boast from the post”. I hope mine doesn’t come over in that way. It’s a bit upsetting to look through my card list from over the years and see how many are no longer around. Now I’m the old generation which is something I won’t dwell on.
