Winter jasmine

I had the steroid injection today for whatever is wrong with my shoulder. He says it’s unlikely to be a frozen shoulder at my age but the ultrasound showed little tendon damage so he decided to treat it as a frozen shoulder anyway. I’ll give it a few days but so far there’s no improvement. I’ve to get in touch with the dreaded MSK unit if it hasn’t worked and ask to be referred back. It’s been over a year now.

I was getting cabin fever with being in the house so much (due to horrible weather) so I braved the heavy showers and walked to Pondicherry to see Hazel. She’s very upset as her son’s wife has left not only him but also their 3 children. So sad.

I had a long phone chat with #2 daughter who’d had a great time in London. The work do was not what she’d hoped in that the owners don’t seem to be addressing concerns even though good people have left. However she did fit in seeing one of the money brokers she worked with when she was in the City and another legal pal now living the dream Hampstead. All that had been good.

Luckily I checked the malaria situation for our next trip - Mr C, now increasingly deaf, thought Undiscovered Destinations had said it was the dry season so we’d not need anything, but of course we do. I wanted a pharmacist consultation as Maladrone is not advised for people like Mr C who is on blood thinners. All the city centre ones are booked up but I found one in Jesmond we can go to en route for my Heaton hair appointment. Result!

I got an email from the High Commission to say they’d got my passport and paperwork, but Mr C’s has not arrived. Travelling is so stressful these days. A first world problem
I know.
