Hawkshead

After my epic sleep of 10 hours on Friday night, normal service was resumed and I woke up dead on 4 o'clock this morning. I had planned on getting up early but was thinking more in the terms of 6 o'clock. Headed off for Hawkshead and got there dead on six. I had a wee extra incentive to put in a quick time for my 10 mile route as the car park started charging at 8 o'clock. You can take the man out of Scotland................ It was a gorgeous run, the scenery reminded me of Scotland (as did the weather) and only saw three cars the whole way round which was good. And a wee first for me, first run in a foreign country.

Weather isn't the best today. We were going to take a wander down to Bowness and give the runners in the Brathay Windermere marathon a wee cheer as they go by but don't think the girls would be best pleased with me making them stand about in the rain at the roadside. Oh well, DVD and cake day then.
